It's a Farmer's Market!

market, farmerFarmer's markets have become increasingly popular in metro areas as they combine the freshest of produce with friendly smiles - you get a chance to know where your food is coming from and the hands that grew it!   Because the food is good, you may drive a bit out of your way for the quality and search out the booth with the farmer you have come to trust.

Supermarkets, while having an enormous selection of foods offer little in the way interpersonal connections.  You go, you choose, you buy, you leave.

With real estate, the plusses of Farm Marketing can take on a similar connotation albeit using a few different processes.

Farm Marketing is not just marketing efforts directed toward a specific geographic area. Farm Mark, but can be directed towards a certain demographic such as an income range, number of children, etc. Every agent will have a different area that they wish to focus on. Regardless of what area or  demographic you choose, you should reach out and then evaluate whether or not your efforts are profitable.  Is your farm the right size?

New people move into your farm market on a regular basis. Are you reaching out to them? You may not have been the real estate agent who sold them their house, but you might be the one who sells the next one to them!

Keep track of new home buyers in your community, and make a point to greet them. Welcome them to the town or neighborhood. Take along a house warming gift which includes local treats or a nicely put together community guide. Share with them some of your favorite places around town. Invite them to any upcoming community event.

Be the friendly face that they see on the other side of the real estate "counter" when they are shopping for a new home or wanting to sell one of their own.   Let them see how skilled you are when you "sell produce".  And you'll have repeat customers at your booth year in and year out!
