Profits from Buyer Business
Yes, we want you to focus on Sellers as the core of your business and marketing focus, but way too many top agents ignore and throw out low-end buyer business. This is a profit mistake.
Imagine that you only personally want to work buyers above $300,000 and tend to ignore or not pursue or be poor with follow-up of low-end buyers, such as a first-time buyer at $200,000. The first-time buyer at $200,000 will generate a referral at $250,000 and then perhaps three years from now sell their home for $220,000 and buy a move-up for $330,000. That is $1,000,000 in sales volume and $30,000 GCI from one 'low-end buyer.'
Instead, for a $300,000 seller, you get $10,000 GCI and they are often GONE and moved away from the area. No referrals. No repeat business. Do you want $30,000 GCI or $10,000 GCI? Comments? Do you agree or not?
