So you're done with the turkey and all the fixings until next year, but did you work Thanksgiving into your marketing plans along with your personal plans? If not, there's still time this year to make a difference.
I strongly suggest you focus during December on Client Marketing to your Clients and SOI to connect deeper and express an attitude of gratitude for their business and referrals. When business slows down a bit during the holidays, you may have more personal energy and time to focus on Client Marketing. This is the most profitable part of your business and all of our clients should invest more marketing dollars and more calling hours in Client Marketing. Here is short game plan:
•Database: Work with us on an end-of-year cleanup review to get the Client, SOI, and Vendor section of your database perfect.
•Client Events: Let us help organize a client appreciation event such as movie night, give out holiday cookies, have a big party or have a series of small dinners with 5-10 clients at a time.
•Holiday Gift: Let us help select and send calendars or fridge magnets or a holiday gift by mail or as a pop-by gift you or your staff delivers.
•Thank You Card: In my software business, I sent Thanksgiving or New Year cards to clients instead of holiday cards. You get more attention, and it allows you to write a personal thank-you note in some of the cards.
•Calling: Make a commitment to have your business call every single Client and SOI to touch base, thank them, and update contact information. The massive calling effort could be a commitment of you calling one hour per day, some of your staff calling, and having Best Agent Business call the majority of your Client/SOI BC.
